Mission Aviation Fellowship

From Jake Michels:

We're excited to be serving as a missionary pilot family with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) and we would love the opportunity to come share our story with your people at Woodside. I appreciate your willingness to consider it. We will be serving in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Our vision and mission is To see isolated people changed by the love of Christ by working together to bring help, hope, and healing through aviationWe accomplish this by serving nearly 300 other organizations with safe and efficient air transportation into remote places where no one else goes.

I’m reminded of a man named Kennedy who is a Congolese Christian that has dedicated his life to teaching the next generation of Congolese children about the love of Christ. One village where he serves is so remote that the quickest way to get there from the city without flying is by powered canoe and it takes 30 days. On a MAF aircraft…4 hours He says, “without MAF, this would just not be possible.”

At this very moment, there are Congolese people that have never heard the name of Jesus and MAF desperately needs more workers to be able to go tell them. We are eager to finish our training and get to work.

I've included a link to our MAF webpage and our personal webpage which will give you a little more of our story. If you have any questions, please let me know.
